
Senior Production Controller
HARIBO in Denmark is looking for a Senior Production Controller to bridge finance and production
We are looking for an experienced and technically skilled specialist with a proven and successful track record from a highly analytical role, bridging production and finance. You will be the primary driver for analysis and case studies in close cooperation with R & D, Technical department and production, resulting in concrete initiatives to increase efficiency and profit. To succeed, you will continuously and proactively seek to find improvement opportunities throughout the development and production stages, to ensure that equipment, facilities and processes are optimized to give the best possible financial results. It is therefore crucial that you are comfortable and experienced in a collaboration with both financial and technical organizations.
Through your technical foundation and strong insight into production economics and controlling, you will ensure the best possible analyses and priorities, working with big data – for optimal utilization of both human resources and technical equipment/installations. You must be able to act both independently and cross-organizational, nationally as well as internationally, on the basis of a deep understanding of the technical production processes and challenges involved in a large and complex production site.
The major success criteria will include your ability to create acceptance and value of constant improvements.
We will implement SAP as our main ERP platform within the next 12 month and you will play a vital role in this implementation.
The position will be based at the production site in Faxe. You will have close cooperation with the Production Director, process managers and other local and international stakeholders. You will also have close cooperation with the controlling team and the rest of the commercial and administrative functions in Vallensbæk. You will report to our Nordic Finance Director who is based in Vallensbæk.
Primary responsibilities
- Strengthen and develop the link between finance and production
- Be the primary driver for analyses and case studies
- Continuously and proactively seek to find improvement opportunities.
Operational tasks
- Cost controlling in general – full Profit and Loss (PL) responsibility
- Budget & Forecasts – full Profit and Loss (PL) responsibility
- Monthly closing – full Profit and Loss (PL) responsibility
- Building and maintenance of KPI deck, follow-up and process optimization
- Products costing – standard calculations – deviations control
- Waste and rework calculations, follow-up and process optimization
- ROI calculations/business cases on investments and process optimizations (change management)
- Fixed assets controlling and maintenance
- Implementing and securing group compliance
- Ad hoc analyses.
Your profile
- Production Engineering, technical/and economical, or other relevant theoretical background
- You have a theoretical foundation in a technical and/or combined business economics/engineering degree, at Master or Bachelor level
- Extensive practical and theoretical experience with production controlling and finance
- Through your analytical, technical and proactive mindset you have achieved proven success with optimizing production and economics
- You find it natural to be physically present an functioning both on the shop floor and in finance – thus enabling you to spot information and topics that could be essential and critical for the long-term business success
- 10-15 years of relevant experience from a similar role, in a large manufacturing company
- You have experience with SAP, and you are super user in MS-Office, especially Excel
- Solid experience with analyses and numbers – and strong analytical acumen
- Experience with international business, and corporate cultures
- You are proactive and structured
- You can drive change without losing focus on detail and you ensure high quality in numbers
- You communicate clearly and effectively at all levels
- You master Danish and English at a high level, written and spoken. Knowledge of German will be considered a plus.
